Beautiful, glowing and young looking skin

The majority of people, mainly women, do take good care of their skin as we all want to look our best. We take care of our skin on the outside that is. Women are very particular about their skin and perform regular rituals to keep it in good shape. We cleans, scrub, mud mask, exfoliate, tonic and hydrate it. A client once asked me “How do I get beautiful and younger looking skin? Whatever I do nothing seems to help. I have facials almost monthly, drink lots of water and use organic skin products. Why am I not getting the results that I want?” Unfortunately it is not that simple. Your skin is a living organ that is affected by everything that is happening on the outside but mainly inside of your body. You can say that the skin is your body’s reflection of your inside.

For instance, if you have a sluggish liver and slow elimination your skin will often look dull. Hormonal imbalances, food intolerances and too much sugar often lead to acne. Allergies can cause dermatitis, eczema and puffiness. Poor diet, too many toxins, not enough water, nutrient deficiencies, lack of protein may cause swollen and lifeless looking skin. The act of breathing leads to oxidative stress which causes damage to all cells, including skin cells. Apart from this, external causes such as pollution, sun burn and chemicals in products damage your skin even further causing it to age prematurely.

As you can see, the skin is being hit from two fronts – internally and externally. If you do not take care of yourself you will look aged – a lot sooner than expected having dull, lifeless and wrinkly skin. This might sound like a lot of doom and gloom. Naturally you can take control of your looks and slow down the aging process but it evolves some changes from your part.

Booking a consultation to see that you are on the right track is a good start. The majority of my clients get improved skin within a few months, and even weeks, after having had a consultation. The reason being, they sort out internal problems, nutrient deficiencies, and hormonal imbalances. They improve their diet and make a few lifestyle changes. The ones that come for skin problems and/or an anti-aging protocol have seen dramatic improvements. Their skin is much younger looking with a natural glow to it and they look much healthier.

A nutrient dense and balanced diet is essential and you may consider yourself in the category of having one. Though, I have yet to meet the client with a “good balanced diet” supporting all your bodily functions… Most peoples’ diets are inadequate leading to nutrient deficiencies and imbalances causing them all sorts of problems. Guidelines for a good lunch and dinner are: half the plate of vegs and greens, one quarter good quality protein the other quarter complex carbohydrates. Do not forget your essential fats and drink 2-2.5 litres of still filtered water daily. Avoid alcohol, coffee, stimulants, fried food, and too much sugar and sweets.

For more noticeable results you need the help of supplements. There are a few supplements you can buy on the high street that are of good quality. However, most supplements contain too many binders, fillers and synthetic ingredients that I do not like to recommend them. I only like to work with the highest quality, 100% natural supplements as they yield the fastest results.

Next time you buy another expensive luxurious high market brand skin care product, ask yourself if you have actually seen any real improvements?

Take care of yourself and your skin!

Maria
