An educational background in science and an MSc in Nutritional Medicine have allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the complexities of nutrition, including the biochemical processes involved with food, nutrients, lifestyle, drugs and body interactions. In my practice, I take a scientific approach at all times, and I concentrate on nutrition to nourish your body, rather than restrictive diets.
Nutrition can help in many ways, whether you are looking to lose weight, eliminate digestive problems, improve your skin complexion, increase your fitness, or simply ensure that your diet is balanced and healthy. If you give your body all that it needs, you can avoid illness, increase your energy, improve your mood, and feel good.
To personalise your nutritional plan, prior to your consultation, a questionnaire will be sent to you to fill out and return, including a 3-day diet and lifestyle diary. Your individual needs will be researched using this information, and nutritional advice will be offered to help you optimise your health while minimising unwanted symptoms.
During a consultation, I will go through your questionnaire, explain possible reasons for health problems you may have, discuss realistic health goals, and give detailed diet and lifestyle advice, cooking tips, and optional supplement and test recommendations. All information discussed during the consultation will be provided to you in a health improvement pack. Diet advice is always practical, realistic and tailored to fit in with your lifestyle.
